FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


QUESTION:
What should I bring to a rehearsal?
ANSWER: Pencil, sheet music (if handed out), tape recorder (optional).

QUESTION: What time are services and what time are sound checks?
ANSWER: Services are at 8:15 am and10:45 am.  Sound checks are at 8:00 am and 10:00 am. Choir members meet in the choir room at 10:30 am to prepare for the 10:45 am service.

QUESTION: If I am providing special music, do I have to sing for all services?
ANSWER: Yes.  Singing for all services is required to provide special music unless you have a health condition that prevents you from coming to both.

QUESTION: What do I do if I cannot make it to rehearsal?
ANSWER: Call or email your shepherd leader and tell them you will not be able to attend rehearsal.  DO NOT call someone other than your shepherd leader, unless your shepherd leader cannot be reached.

QUESTION: How are soloists chosen?
ANSWER: Soloists are chosen exclusively by Alan Pike, often through audition.

QUESTION: What do I do if I am interested in soloing?
ANSWER: The best thing to do is to contact Alan and let him know. Email Alan, write him a brief note, or drop a brief word to him before/after rehearsal.
